Dr. Lori Sanford MD, FAAD
Dr. Sanford grew up in Hamilton Ohio and graduated from Talawanda High School. She attended Ball State University and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelors degree in Biochemistry, She attended Indiana University School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her dermatology residency at Indiana University.
She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Sanford serves on the retinoids task force for the AAD with an interest in the safety of isotretinoin use for acne. She also serves as volunteer faculty for the IU Department of Dermatology and volunteers her time teaching resident physicians at the Indianapolis Veterans Hospital. She also teaches medical students at Marian University.
Dr. Sanford has been practicing dermatology in Hancock County since 2013, before starting her own practice in March of 2016. She is proud to be affiliated with Hancock Regional Hospital and enjoys participating in community events such as the skin cancer screening at the yearly Heartbeats festival and the women helping women dinner.
Dr. Sanford spends her free time with her 3 children. She enjoys being active at the Hancock Wellness Center and loves taking care of her animals on her small farm.

Gena Gore - FNP-BC, DCNP
Gena Gore is a board certified nurse practitioner. She grew up in Belle Harbor, NY. Gena attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Policy, Analysis and Management. She then attended Columbia University in New York, NY where she obtained both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Nursing. Gena is a board certified family nurse practitioner, and is credentialed with the DNCB as a dermatology certified nurse practitioner. She began practicing as a nurse practitioner in 2015 and joined our practice in 2017. Gena is a member of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association, serving as a committee member for the Nurse Practitioner Society. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Abbey Gregory, PA-C
Abbey is from a small town in southern Indiana and has lived in the Indianapolis area for over ten years.
She attended Indiana University and IUPUI for her undergraduate studies, and she graduated from the IUPUI Physician Assistant program in 2015 with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Abbey began her career as a PA in the emergency department, where she gained invaluable experiences and a broad spectrum of knowledge. She has been working in dermatology with Dr. Sanford and her team since 2019, providing care to patients with dermatologic needs.
Aside from her career, Abbey loves the Indianapolis Colts and was a Colts cheerleader for four years! She had the opportunity to cheer at Super Bowl XLIV, which is an experience she’ll always cherish. She also enjoys taking Pure Barre classes and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Taylor Spera, PA-C
Taylor is originally from Northwest Indiana, but she moved to Indianapolis in 2009 for college. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from IUPUI in 2013, and she graduated from IUPUI Physician Assistant Program in 2015 with her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Prior to joining Hancock Dermatology’s team in 2019, Taylor practiced as an emergency medicine PA for five years. She feels her time in the ER was an invaluable experience that she wouldn’t trade for the world. Though very different from the ER, Taylor loves practicing dermatology and enjoys building rapport with her patients while providing quality care.
Taylor has lived in New Palestine with her husband, Jordan, since 2015. In her spare time, she loves traveling, exercising, playing with her golden retriever, Colt, and going to Church with her husband.

Candice Wyatt, PA-C
Candice Wyatt is a board-certified physician assistant and a lifelong resident of Knightstown, Indiana. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from IUPUI in 2022 where she majored in neuroscience with a minor in psychology. She went on to receive her Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Butler University in 2024, and completed her Doctor of Medical Science degree at Butler in 2025.
Candice began her physician assistant career at Hancock Dermatology in February 2025. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA). She enjoys all aspects of dermatology, especially connecting with patients and helping them feel confident in their skin. She has a particular interest in hands-on procedures and values the opportunity to combine technical skill with individualized care.
Outside of the clinic, Candice is passionate about coaching and mentorship. She has been coaching volleyball since 2019 and currently serves as the varsity head coach at Greenfield-Central High School. She is also active in her church, where she leads a youth group. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, playing volleyball, and hanging out with her beagle, Rhett.

Star - Office Manager
Star is a Certified Dermatology Tech who joined our office in 2019 with over ten years of customer service and management experience, and is our office manager. Star graduated from Indiana University in 2013 with her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. Star is a central Indiana native residing in Greenfield with her husband and son. In her spare time, Star enjoys traveling, boating and spending time with family and friends.

With her extensive customer service and management background, Heather loves interacting with patients & staff, and making a difference in our community. Heather is an avid dog lover, and enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, and going to car shows in her free time.
