Dr. Sanford grew up in Hamilton Ohio and graduated from Talawanda High School. She attended Ball State University and graduated summa cum laude with a bachelors degree in Biochemistry, She attended Indiana University School of Medicine and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her dermatology residency at Indiana University.
Dr. Sanford has been practicing dermatology in Hancock County since 2013, before starting her own practice in March of 2016. She is proud to be affiliated with Hancock Regional Hospital and enjoys participating in community events such as the skin cancer screening at the yearly Heartbeats festival and the women helping women dinner.
Dr. Sanford has been married to her husband Mark for 10 years and has 3 children, Warren, Nolan, and Rose.
Abbey is from a small town in southern Indiana and has lived in the Indianapolis area for over ten years.
She attended Indiana University to begin her undergraduate studies and graduated from the IU School of Dentistry in Indianapolis in 2010. Abbey worked as a dental hygienist for two years before deciding to explore her passion for medicine and attend physician assistant school. She graduated from the IUPUI Physician Assistant program in 2015 with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Abbey began her career as a PA in the emergency department, where she gained invaluable experiences and a broad spectrum of knowledge. She is excited to now be part of Dr. Sanford’s team at Hancock Dermatology, providing care to patients with dermatologic needs. Abbey is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Aside from her career, Abbey loves the Indianapolis Colts and was a Colts cheerleader for four years! She had the opportunity to cheer at Super Bowl XLIV, which is an experience she’ll always cherish. She also enjoys taking and teaching Pure Barre classes in her free time.
Abbey recently married her husband, Trevor, and they reside in Fishers.
Taylor is originally from Northwest Indiana, but she moved to Indianapolis in 2009 for college. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from IUPUI in 2013, and she graduated from IUPUI Physician Assistant Program in 2015 with her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Taylor practiced as an emergency medicine PA for the last four years and would not trade her experience for the world.
For as long as she can remember, Taylor has been interested in dermatology. During PA school, she chose dermatology as her elective rotation and loved it. She is ecstatic to be a part of Dr. Sanford’s team and is ready to serve the residents of Hancock County and the surrounding areas!
Taylor has lived in New Palestine with her husband, Jordan, for over three years. She loves traveling, exercising, playing with her golden retriever, Colt, and going to Church with her husband.
Ashley serves as the Office Manager for Hancock Dermatology. She is a Certified Dermatology Technician, who has spent the last 8 years learning the ins and outs of Dermatology. She loves the diverse diagnoses of dermatology and loves to interact with patients. Ashley and her husband Ryan live in Pendleton with their two children, Mason and Isabella. They enjoy spending time at the Indianapolis Zoo, Children’s Museum, playing at the park, and gardening.
Sally is a Certified Dermatology Technician with 13 years experience as a medical assistant. She loves to interact and assist with patients. Sally and her family live in New Castle, they enjoy outdoor activities and taking road trips.
Katie is a recent college graduate, earning her Bachelors in Communication, and is part our front office staff. Though new to dermatology, she has worked in healthcare for the past five years and loves having the opportunity to interact with and assist others. In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons, and as an avid motorsports fan she’s always looking for an excuse to get out to a racetrack.
Shawna is a recent college graduate with her associates degree in Medical Assisting. She graduated from Knightstown High School where she grew up and attended Ivy Tech for her degree. She lives in Greenfield with her boyfriend Garrett and 3 year old son Nolan. In her free time she enjoys taking her son to the park and playing with their puppy, Dak.
Chassie is new to dermatology as a medical assistant. Working with people and making them feel more comfortable in their own skin is what is most rewarding for her in this new position. She is married and has three wonderful step sons. In her free time, Chassie enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs.
Ericka is a new resident to the Greenfield Area. She serves as our front office assistant and has been working in dermatology for over a year and she loves every minute of it. She is working towards certification and is excited to be serving her new community. Ericka enjoys baking in her free time.
Sarah is new to dermatology and serves as one of our front office assistants. She is a recent college graduate with an Indiana University degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences with a minor in Medical Sociology. She truly enjoys working with other individuals and hopes she can help patients enjoy their time spent in our office. Sarah wishes to grow and expand her knowledge in the medical field with our office. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outside, and spending time with her dog, Cali.
